Gustaff Besungu is a performer who hails from a lineage of drum players. Born and raised in Cameroon-West Africa, he brings to life a unique blend of traditional rhythms with music from around the world. He has performed with the Baha’i World Centre Choir (Haifa, Israel), Alma-Latina (Norman, Oklahoma), The Light Combo (An Acoustic trio in Oklahoma), and with many other musical groups and individuals. His most recent collaboration is with Ali Youssefi and Pam Hill on a project known as Music for the Soul. He travels and shares aspects of Cameroonian culture through storytelling, drumming, dancing and singing. His familiarity with audiences—be it in schools, universities, major theatrical productions or in the comforts of a home—is far ranging. His uplifting voice and captivating spirit is an enjoyable experience for people of all ages and backgrounds.
