Ethical Music artist, Kiskadee, gives viewers an exclusive glimpse into her inner world from the intimate setting of her home, as she explains the inspiration behind one of her musical compositions, "Create In Me", performed in this moving video at her grand piano.
Born in England into a musical family, Kiskadee's late father was one of the founding pioneers of the steel drum instrument in Trinidad, and her Guyanese mother studied violin and viola at the famed Royal Academy of Music in London.
Kiskadee's classical training began when she started playing the piano at age two. By five, she was developing the fabulous voice that characterized her ten years on stage as the lead singer in the successful Rainbow Steel Band, with whom she toured many countries in Europe.
Kiskadee has travelled widely with her music to countries such as France, Germany, Switzerland, China, Caribbean islands, and many more, , capturing the hearts of her audience wherever she performed with her pure voice and radiant stage presence. Whilst residing in Britain she continued with highly successful live performances in clubs such as the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, as well as London's O2 Arena and the Royal Festival Hall. Kiskadee also performed for visiting Heads of State, the BBC, international radio and television shows. In 2005 she recorded backing vocals for the late Michael Jackson as well as being involved in his Hurricane Katrina Project.
With honors degrees in English and French, experience in French and English scenarios, along with her solid and varied musical backgrounds Kiskadee has been able to successfully enter the music industry as a formidable songwriter, producer, singer and pianist.
Kiskadee has achieved an indisputable maturity in her own right. Now based in the United States, She writes, arranges and produces her own lush and sensual style of music with its strong notes of jazz and soul, all wrapped in an exciting, contemporary arrangement.
