Kauvon was born in New York but spent most of his childhood in Haiti where he developed his passion for music. At age 14, he was already in charge of a large church choir, teaching and learning harmony! When he was 16 he moved back to the States because he already felt a calling...

This talented artist/producer is a classically trained pianist, who has also studied Jazz piano, World music, and acoustic guitar and produced 4 albums for major labels, two Gospel albums and soundtrack music for 3 independent films. Within two years of dealing with record labels, Kauvon realized that his first solo album would have to be independent. "I wanted to come up with a different sound and most labels are not willing to take chances on novelties...”

Kauvon has already generated quite a buzz in South Florida and the Caribbean Islands and he recently signed a licensing and publishing deal for the continent of Europe. Some of his songs are also being licensed for different compilations including the recent Sony released ‘Opium Garden Vol 2’, the ‘Frank Provost chillout vol 1’ compilation, a BBC documentary on Haiti and Universal Record’s ‘International music’ compilation.
